History of a Special Relationship, Colombia - United States: 200 Years
The Embassy of Colombia to the U.S., led by Ambassador Juan Carlos Pinzón Bueno, undertook the task of highlighting the most significant milestones in the relationship between Colombia and the U.S. since diplomatic ties were made official on June 19, 1822. These events were selected with the guidance of Professors Stephen Randall and Fernando Cepeda. In addition, six research articles were developed on the early years of the relationship, the separation of Panama, defense and friendship ties, the Plan Colombia, trade relations, and the links we have in our culture and society.
